Curriculum

Creekview Family Learning uses My Father’s World curriculum, which is a curriculum with the Bible at its center. Children have daily Bible stories and worship time that create the foundation of our day. For more information about the curriculum, check out mfwbooks.com.

Because Creekview Family Learning is multi-age, students are exposed to math, language, and science at a variety of levels and are able to participate at their own level, joining the more challenging activities as they are ready.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students explore Jesus’ character and God’s love through fun, hands-on lessons tied to their weekly letter and science topic. They discover spiritual truths in everyday things—like learning about horses while seeing how God wants us to obey—making faith engaging, memorable, and easy to understand.

1st Grade

First grade students learn about Jesus by exploring His name and character. Bible stories are also integrated into their phonics lessons, giving students meaningful reading practice while giving them their first taste of reading the Bible for themselves.

2nd Grade

3rd Grade

Second and third grade students discover more about who Jesus is by exploring His many names and what they reveal about His character. Through Bible readings, memory work, and hands-on activities, students engage with Scripture in a meaningful, age-appropriate way, connecting their learning to history, science, and everyday life while growing in faith and understanding.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students will explore God’s creation from A to Z, discovering nature through play, stories and engaging videos from missionary kids. They will join older students for broader topics while learning age-appropriate concepts that connect to each letter of the alphabet.

3rd Grade

Students will explore the fascinating world of science through books, hands-on activities, and experiments. Topics include stars, weather, plants, animals, energy, gravity, sound, computers, and more, with nature studies woven in to spark curiosity and discovery.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students develop number sense, addition, subtraction, and other foundational math skills through a mix of hands-on and formal math activities. Instruction is designed to be engaging, interactive, and responsive to each child’s needs.

1st Grade

First graders continue to do hands-on math work. Going from concrete to abstract as they begin to work more with numbers and math strategies. The focus is mainly on adding and subtracting within 100 but we also cover telling time, measuring and other skills. The emphasis is on math strategies with foundation laid for algebra.

2nd Grade

Second grade students strengthen their number sense and problem-solving skills through hands-on and guided activities. They build fluency with addition and subtraction, explore early multiplication and division, and practice measurement, time, and practical math applications. Lessons focus on strategies and reasoning, laying a strong foundation for future success in mathematics.

3rd Grade

Third grade students deepen their understanding of numbers and operations while developing strong problem-solving and reasoning skills. They work with multiplication and division, fractions, and measurement, applying strategies to real-world situations. Lessons are hands-on and engaging, building confidence and a solid foundation for more advanced math concepts.

*Math levels are individualized. Your student will be assessed prior to the start of the school year to determine current skills.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten students will develop early literacy skills by learning each letter of the alphabet—its name, sound, and formation. Each week focuses on one letter paired with a related, hands-on science topic. Students will begin blending sounds early in the year, with the goal of reading CVC words by year’s end. Instruction is individualized to meet each child’s needs.

1st Grade

First grade students learn to read through an explicit, systematic phonics program that teaches foundational phonics rules. Students receive frequent writing practice, building toward writing complete sentences and short summaries. As reading skills develop, students read from a Bible reader. Instruction is individualized as needed to support each learner’s progress.

2nd Grade and 3rd Grade

Second grade and third grade students develop language arts skills through both dedicated language arts instruction and integration across history, Bible, and science-all individualized to their current skill level. Students practice handwriting, memorization, narration, vocabulary, and composition, while also building fluency and comprehension through regular independent reading.
